Spotify Requires Mebers to Have a Facebook Acount

Spotify, an online music service, is now requiring you to log in through Facebook.  "As most of our users are already social and have already connected to Facebook, it seemed logical to integrate Spotify and Facebook logins," Spotify spokesperson Alison Bonny said.  What does this mean for all those people who don't want to have Facebook accounts as more and more online services are combining with Facebook?  The way things are going it may be almost impossible not to have a Facebook account.  There are benefits from this though.  For example if your friend is listening to a song that you want to hear too you can click on it and it will start playing the song at the same point into it as your friend.  Many people are not happy with this change because they want their privacy when listening to music sometimes.  Spotify has not confirmed this change forever they will continue to listen to their members feedback, and they plan to keep trying new things.

The Lion King is Reborn

Recently, on September 16, the classic animated Disney hit from 1994, "Lion King," was recreated in 3D. Hollywood has been searching for an award winning formula for 3D productions and has just now realized that the missing component was not the effects, but a good story-line. The surprise release of the 3D Lion King has collected 61.5 million between September 26 and its release and the amount has continued to rise. This reaction after the re-release was great news after recent 3D box-office flops such as "Green Lantern" and "Mars Needs Moms." 3D film expert James Cameron says, “To turn around the trough of disillusionment, whatever its source is, we have to change the perception. The way for us to work against that is to continue to have success stories.” Cameron supports the lesson learned from this film was that 3D effects alone cannot get the job done for a movie; there must be a good story behind it. Disney has been talking about creating other renditions of their successful films. Hopefully after this, there will be less 3D movies that are all about the effects and don't have any plot.

A review for the 3D rendition is posted here.

Gears of War 3 Limited edittion Xbox Console Released

Xbox has now released the Xbox console with a Gears of War 3 Limited Edition Case. The Bundle comes with 2 limited edition controllers (wireless), the console with the red and black case and the game with new firearms. Producers say that these themed cases will attract more customers just like the Halo Reach edition and the Modern warfare theme did. Many other games Consoles will probably use this also which will now make them more interesting instead of just the plain white or black. The Wii U is trying to do the same thing as well as the Play station 3. All of the consoles will soon do the same as Xbox but "better". Xbox might now be doing very decorative cases for the Xbox and making their customers pay a little extra for a good look for their console. Many Accessories for Xbox will now be themed and more "good looking". They are increasing the sales by also using EBay and Amazon on their famous Xbox live program which is in the Xbox software. This special edition console is now being sold for $599.99. For the official Xbox Website and many offers click here.

The Six Minute Project

In May of 2006, a man by the name of Jacob Reed began forming an idea. His goal was to capture the most accurate snapshot of a “day in the life of…” The result was the 6 Minute Project, the brainchild of all the festering ideas in his crammed mind, just waiting to come out. A collection of 240 pictures each taken six minutes apart for the span of 24 hours, the 6 Minute Project gives you an idea of the daily process by which we each abide to. Anyone can do it, and all you need is a camera, a stopwatch, and the mental stamina of stopping 240 times to take a picture of your surroundings. Looking through the thousands of cataloged pictures on the website tells a story, and though you may not mean to, it is very possible to burn hours looking through the eyes of someone else. It is like a book that you just can’t put down, as if living someone else’s life is just that much more interesting than living your own.
